JULY 1, 2012- MIDDLEBORO, MA – The weather was sunny and hot with temperatures north of ninety degrees, a real “Summer Sizzler”. Six contestants were on hand for a day of F2D combat. At the end of three rounds three pilots had been sent home with two losses each. Paul Kubek was sitting at 3-0 while Brian Stas and Neil Simpson were at 2-1. In round four Paul, in short order, handed Brian and then Neil their second losses earning the contest win in the process. Since Brian and Neil both were eliminated in the same round a fly-off for second and third was in order. Neil managed the win in what was, perhaps, the best match of the day.
