BRIAN SEYMOUR TAKES SPORTSMAN

JULY 24, 2005 – EASTHAMPTON, MA - On this date the New England combat faithful traveled to Easthampton, Massachusetts for the Western Mass Championships cd’ed by Dave Parizo. There were six contestants on hand for this one. Weather conditions were near perfect, warm and sunny with a light breeze.

Everyone got off to a slow start as the first round saw all three matches end as low scoring draws. At the halfway point Brian Seymour was setting the pace with 1030 points followed closely by Ken Hargreaves whose cumulative score totaled 920 points.

Round Three started with Neil Simpson getting a one cut win over Brian Seymour. Joe Fustolo then earned a two cut victory over Paul Kubek. These wins put Neil and Joe, who had bad round one scores, back into contention. In the semi-final match Joe and Brian flew to a one cut apiece draw while in the final match Neil got a one cut win over Paul Kubek to take home the contest win. The final order of finish was Neil (1960pts), Brian (1840pts), Joe (1635pts) and Ken Hargreaves (1530pts). Brian Seymour, also, took home the trophy for first in the Sportsman division.

The trophy winners were Neil Simpson (1st), Brian Seymour (2nd),

Brian also took home the Sportsman "Gold"

Third Generation Combat Pilot Brian Seymour took home second overall and first in Sportsman.
