OCTOBER 22, 2006-MIDDLEBORO, MA-The temperatures were cool, the sky was clear, the sun bright. It was a perfect late fall day in New England. The Wingbuster club field was, as always, in great shape.
In round one Brian Stas and Neil Simpson had a nice match, two cuts apiece, very well flown that Neil won on a technicality. In round two Mark Rudner ended Brian’s day with his second win of the contest. As the contest unfolded there were several good matches along with some ugly ones, however, in the end only Mark and Neil were left. Mark promptly defeated Neil twice to take home the contest win. Greg Wornell prevailed in a fly-off for third place with Jeff Vader.
Thank You to Rick Clark who cd’ed this contest and did a lot of good work, that helped to make it happen. Thank You to the Wingbuster Model Airplane Club for the use of their great facility. Thank You to Paul Kubek who traveled to the contest to do the head judging job.
