Summer Sizzler-F2D Combat
NEIL SIMPSON, CHRIS SARNOWSKI AND PAUL KUBEK TAKE THE TROPHY SPOTS
AUGUST 15, 2015- HALIFAX, MA – The weather was sizzling hot, low nineties to be exact, however dead calm conditions, a blazing sun and high humidity pushed the real feel temperature passed the mid-nineties. The Wingbusters club field was manicured however it was starting to brown slightly from a lack of rain. Five contestants were on hand for the second contest of the 2015 New England F2D season.
At the end of two rounds one pilot had been sent home in this double elimination affair. Chris Sarnowski was undefeated while Paul Kubek, Brian Stas and Neil Simpson were sitting at one win and one loss. In round three Chris stayed undefeated giving Paul his second loss in a battle that might have been the best flown match of the day. In the same round Neil managed to get past Brian giving Brian his second loss, as well. The final was a match-up between Chris and Neil with Neil having to win twice. Neil got a relatively clean win in the first match which was well flown and then got a rather ugly airtime win when Chris had mechanical problems that cost him significant airtime in their second match.
