& MATT STAS ARE TOP THREE

May 5, 2013 - WRENTHAM, MA - This was stop number two of the 2013 GX season. Six contestants were on hand for this event hosted and cd’ed by Chris Sarnowski. Weather conditions were seasonably warm, sunny with a light breeze. A great day for combat.

Round one saw Brian Stas and Paul Kubek take the early lead both posting 620 point wins. In round two they squared off against each with Brian earning a one cut victory. Meanwhile Chris Sarnowski and Neil Simpson climbed into contention with Chris posting a two cut win over Glenn Simpson and Neil squeaking past Matt Stas in a very exciting hard fought match. In round three Brian got a one cut win over Chris while Neil was doing the same in a match with Paul.

Going into the final round it was Brian in the lead followed by Neil and Chris. All the round four matches would affect the outcome. In the first of these Matt, after a tough start, scored a two cut win over Glenn posting his second good win in a row. In the next match Chris got an airtime win over Paul. In the final Neil and Brian, after some good early action, mid-aired shuffling the field in the process. When it all sorted out Brian had the contest win followed by Chris and Matt.
