OCTOBER 13, 2013- HALIFAX, MA - This year’s Fall Finale attracted eight pilots for a Formula GX showdown. The weather was cool and mostly cloudy with a pesky wind that moderated later in the day. This contest was the ninth and final stop on this year’s New England Formula GX circuit, the end of the 2013 regular season.

Following round one action which included two mid-airs and a low scoring draw Paul Kubek was leading the field with a 520 point airtime win. In round two Paul stayed hot earning a one cut win over Neil Simpson. Also in round two Brian Stas earned a two cut to one win over Joe Fustolo. In round three Brian stayed hot earning a two cut win over Paul. In the same round Chris Sarnowski, who had started slowly, jumped into contention with a two cut win over Ara Dedekian. In the semi-final match Joe Fustolo got past Paul Kubek two cuts to one to put pressure on the leaders. Those leaders, Brian Stas and Chris Sarnowski faced off in the final and it was a full five minute war that somehow went the distance and ended in a one cut apiece draw. The final order of finish was Brian, Chris and Joe.
