10-18-15 - HALIFAX, MA – The weather was very cool with temperatures topping out in the high forties. The wind was strong diminishing some as the afternoon wore on. Five contestants were on hand for what was the final contest of the 2015 New England F2D season. After two rounds of action one pilot had been sent home, three guys were sitting at one win and one loss while Brian Stas was undefeated. In round three Neil Simpson got past Paul Kubek with an airtime win. It was Paul’s second loss. In the same round Greg Wornell gave Brian Stas his first loss. It was also an airtime win. Going into round four Greg, Brian and Neil were all sitting with two wins and one loss. Brian drew the bye leaving Neil and Greg to battle to see who would face Brian in the final. Some good flying by both guys for about two minutes when Greg’s motor flamed out giving Neil yet another airtime win. In the final Brian and Neil mixed it up pretty good early when a line snag broke one of Neil’s lines giving Brian the win.
